How does logging a blood test work?
Three ways in, all inside a chat you already use:
- Photo. Snap the results page of your lab report. BioTrakk extracts each biomarker with its value and units and logs them as separate entries — a 20-analyte panel does not mean 20 forms.
- Text. "ApoB 92 mg/dL, fasting insulin 4.8, ferritin 85 — drawn Tuesday" becomes individual dated entries, parsed from plain language in English, Spanish, or French.
- Voice. Read the numbers out loud while you hold the report; the note is transcribed and logged the same way.
The obvious objection first: photo extraction is AI, and AI can misread — a 5 that prints like a 6, a unit hidden in a footnote. That is why every extracted value is shown back to you before it matters, and a correction is one reply: "that ferritin should be 58" fixes the entry. Nothing disappears silently into a database; you always see exactly what was logged, with the draw date you gave rather than the day the PDF arrived.

To be fair to the dedicated apps: several parse full PDFs and reference ranges well, and if archiving labs in isolation is all you want, they do that job. What they generally cannot do is answer "why is this moving?" — because they never see the rest of your life.
